Next steps to prepare for your family photo session!
Yay! You’ve booked your session with Andrew Miller and AEM Creative Photography.
First off, welcome and thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special memories! I have included some tips and tricks to prepare for your upcoming session from color schemes for your group to storing your photos once you have received your pictures!
Storing Your Photos
As your prep for your session, think about all of the photos you already have and the many photos you will receive from your upcoming session. A great place that I recommend storing your photos is through Amazon Photos. This service provides an easy way to store and organize all of your special memories in one place. You can also easily print photos right from the platform!
Better yet, Amazon Prime members get unlimited, full-resolution photo storage and 5 GB for video storage. If you want to try out Amazon Prime, you can sign up for a 30 day free trial here to see what it is all about!
Even if you’re not a Prime member, as an Amazon customer you get 5 GB combined photo and video storage. Storage plans start at $1.99/month.
I send all of the photos from your session through an online downloadable gallery but having them saved in another spot is always a great idea!
Outfits and What Colors Look Good?
Personally, I recommend coastal colors such as navy, light blue, coral, peach, sea-foam green or teal among others! Utilizing soft tones of any of these colors pair well with the beautiful backdrop of the sand and sun glistening over the water. White and tan is also a popular choice that you can wear by itself or mix into one of the color schemes to break it up.
While choosing all one color is great, choosing a color scheme with 2-3 colors that compliment each other helps generate beautiful photos! Keep it simple. Ditching clothing with logos and other graphics helps keep the focus on your family and those beautiful smiling faces.

My name is Andrew Miller your photographer.
I grew up in eastern North Carolina and lived in Oak Island for two years from 2020-2022. I recently moved to Raleigh to be in the same city as my fiance following getting engaged in the summer of 2022!
I started taking photos during the pandemic which led to the blossoming of my photography business where I have since served over 275 families capturing their special memories and I cannot wait to capture yours.
My work has been featured by Our State Magazine, NC Edge Magazine, MLB.com, D1Baseball.com, NC State Athletics, Campbell University Athletics, UNCW Athletics and 247 Sports (CBS Sports) among others.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my fiance and our pup Sullivan and attending athletic events at NC State and my alma mater Campbell University - Roll Humps!
